BOYS BASKETBALL

Yavneh Academy holds a solid reputation as one of the top private school basketball programs in Texas. The Bulldogs are known for their relentless man-to-man defense. During the past eight seasons, Yavneh has led all Dallas-area high schools in team defense three times. During that same span, the team has averaged twenty wins per season, been ranked as highly as sixth in Texas by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, and posted upsets over 4A and 5A public school teams — despite having fewer than 50 male students in the entire school. Yavneh's graduates continue their playing careers at the collegiate level - currently, two former Bulldogs are playing NCAA basketball. Yavneh alum Itzy Ribald was nationally-ranked by the NCAA in multiple categories for the 2005-2006 season.
