MARCH OF THE LIVING

During their senior year, most Yavneh students participate in the March of the Living, an international educational program that brings together Jewish teens from all over the world for a trip to Poland and Israel.  The group travels to Poland for Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Memoral Day, to march from Auschwitz to Birkenau, the largest concentration camp complex built during World War II.  From Poland, the group travels to Israel to observe Yom HaZikaron, Israel Memorial Day, and Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Israel Independence Day.  From the depths of despair in the Holocaust, to the joyous founding of the State of Israel, the March of the Living is a once-in-a-lifetime journey for Yavneh students.
