Student Body
Yavneh Academy’s students are an eclectic mixture of young people from all walks of Jewish life. They come from orthodox, modern orthodox, conservative, and reform families; observant and non-observant homes; and Jewish day schools, private independent schools, and public schools.
Some speak Hebrew fluently, and some not at all; others have extensive training in Jewish history and text, and others no prior exposure to Jewish thought and law. No matter what their background, when our students leave Yavneh, they will have formed lifetime friendships that cross the lines of religious observance that too often divide young Jews.
